Arcams Limited · The Team

The people who
have built before.

Engineers who have put combustion plants into service worldwide; financiers and directors who have governed boards from Sears to The Ritz Hotel London; civic leaders who hold standards across all four nations — assembled around one model, one plant, one software rail.

The leadership grid

Leadership.

Arcams Limited is run by Alan O'Neill, Founder & CEO. Eight seats — the founder, the officers and the directors whose capital and governance shape the Company. Full profiles open beneath each name.

Alan O'Neill

Founder & CEO

The originator of the Arcams model — the closed loop, the commercial architecture and the voice of the Company.

Full profile — Alan O'Neill

Alan has spent thirty years helping organisations optimise their business, people, process and technology — and assess what to do when infrastructure is broken. Arcams is the culmination of that career: he has taken those thirty years of lessons and tools and applied them to fixing the broken waste and energy infrastructure of the United Kingdom.

The mind behind Arcams and its Founder & CEO, Alan is the architect of the decentralised waste transformation model together with the On-Land, On-Line, On-Chain framework, FAITE, the commercial model and the brand itself. He assembled the founding group and carries the group's vision, partnerships and capital programme. From here, the work is replication: one proven site into many, and a UK model into a global one.

Marc Angelo

Co-Founder & CTO

The designer of the Company's digital spine — FAITE™, and the architecture that makes every physical action verifiable data.

Full profile — Marc Angelo

A rare hybrid thinker with over twenty years transforming technology at some of the world's leading organisations. Arcams' co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Marc is responsible for technology across the Company's group: the systems that run Arcams' own organisation and those that serve its partners and sector.

He is the lead architect of the FAITE platform and the builder of Arcams' DePIN infrastructure, coordinating a team that spans continents behind the measurement, reporting and verification platform that makes every tonne provable. He is also deploying the most advanced AI protocols and agents to optimise every department within the enterprise itself: an organisation designed to run intelligently from day one. Alan's right hand on everything digital — where others see complexity, Marc designs structure.

Jonas Modell

Interim Chairman

The co-inventor of the material sold worldwide as Kinetic Sand — leads the materials frontier: incinerator bottom ash into blocks and construction materials.

Full profile — Jonas Modell

One of the most successful members of the Arcams team: a multi-award-winning inventor and the mind behind Kinetic Sand — one of the most successful materials products of its generation — with a lifetime of experience and world-class expertise in nano-molecular engineering, composite behaviour and product innovation. A close friend of Alan's, Jonas has invested in business with him before, and the two work closely, week in, week out.

At Arcams, Jonas is responsible for the materials frontier: working with the engineering team to turn the estate's outputs into products — blocks, hardcore and construction materials created from incinerator bottom ash, feeding Arcams' own developments. It is the closing of the loop made literal: what the machines leave behind becomes what the buildings are made of.

Stuart Hall

Partner & Interim CFO

Founder of Stuart Hall & Co — more than twenty specialists carrying the Company's complete back-office.

Full profile — Stuart Hall

Stuart is the founder of Stuart Hall & Co, an established chartered certified accountancy practice in the North East with a team of more than twenty specialists. He trained in private practice in County Durham and Teesside before a decade in senior finance roles across manufacturing, engineering and printing, with hands-on experience of mergers, acquisitions and takeovers in businesses going through rapid growth. His practice spans accounts, tax, payroll, VAT, funding and R&D.

At Arcams, Stuart serves as interim CFO, responsible for the management and control of the group's finances — with his team providing the complete back-office function across assets, procurement and financial operations. The partnership runs deeper than the numbers: a North East practice keeping the finances of a company transforming the North East's waste.

Adrian Neilan

Chief Investment Officer

Hewlett Packard, Trinity College Dublin, Deepbridge Capital — structures the capital architecture that takes one site to a network.

Full profile — Adrian Neilan

Adrian's career runs from the engine room of technology to the top of venture capital: ten years as IT Director at Hewlett Packard, seven as CEO of an Irish government commercial organisation — introducing AWS in 2011 to slash operating costs — then Commercial Director at Trinity College Dublin, growing the business from €15.2m to €28m annual EBITDA in five years.

Most recently COO and Investment Director at Deepbridge Capital, the investment house specialising in tax-efficient investment across technology, life sciences and renewable energy. He holds an MSc in Computer Science (AI and machine learning) and an MBA, and is a London Business School graduate. As Chief Investment Officer of Arcams, Adrian is responsible for the capital that scales the estate.

Philip L Peters

Investor, Shareholder & Director

Three decades of family-office directorships — Sears, The Telegraph Media Group, The Ritz Hotel London.

Full profile — Philip L Peters

Philip is a banker by profession — first with a UK clearing bank, then an international Swiss bank in the UK and overseas — before leaving banking in 1994 to become a director of several privately owned companies, working within a family office ever since. His corporate experience spans media, hotels, online shopping, finance, logistics, shipping and bio-tech, with main and holding company board directorships including Sears, The Telegraph Media Group and The Ritz Hotel London.

One of Arcams' founding circle and a significant investor, Philip is responsible for the shape of the group's strategy and funding architecture — and, as the estate scales, for keeping the balance between growth and control.

Tom Taylor

Investor, Shareholder & Director

Decades of business-building and investment — an early investor and director on the programme's home ground.

Full profile — Tom Taylor

Decades of business-building and investment sit behind Tom — the owner of a family-run marina on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Kennet & Avon Canal: a hundred moorings, a boat sales operation running more than sixteen years, and the venue that premium narrowboat brands now choose to launch their craft.

An early investor in Arcams who has worked alongside Alan on previous projects and serves as a director, Tom is responsible for one of the group's most strategic waste transformation engagements. He brings decades of commercial experience, patient capital and a network that opens rooms most people cannot find the door to.

Ifor Glyn Lloyd

Investor, Shareholder & Director

Chairman of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park Authority — governance and standards across all four nations.

Full profile — Ifor Glyn Lloyd

One of Wales's most respected civic leaders — Chairman of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park Authority, elected June 2026 after more than a decade on the Authority including two years as Vice-Chairman. He has been a member of Conwy County Borough Council since 2014, and is a working farmer in Llanfair Talhaiarn whose career across farming, lecturing and planning has made him a lifelong, practising advocate for the environment, rural communities, and the Welsh language and culture.

A shareholder, investor and director of Arcams Limited — instrumental in the direction of the Company: opening the doors that only a reputation like his can open, and working with the engineering and rollout teams to ensure Arcams' governance and standards hold good across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
